Jonathan Potato
The perfidous potato
who looks like a tomato
Everywhere and anywhere he has been to
Budding thrice daily
Eating his chocolate diary
thinking of vegetable fairies
While incubating wild cherries
Sitting on the throne of radish
he will simply vanish
When he catches sight of a tasty donish
Gobbling it up with in a hasty finish
At the end of the day
He keeps himself at bay
Planning himself for May
When he would harvest potatoes on a tray
Sick of mild prosaic potatoes
He sits there staring at his toes
Wondering about American burritos
Unaware of an incoming tornado
The tornado arrives and around his farm it gyrates
Causing the corpulent farmer to turn irate
Until it turns back out of the garden gate
Producing mash potatoes of top grade
Tada. I'm done[Actually its only 3/4 done]. Compliments to Ahmad Adib of 3E2 for writing this devoting poem about potatoes.
